Potentially the final layout |
The second quilt is Hexagons for Baby. After seeing this beauty on WIP Wednesday a couple of weeks ago I completely redid my plan for this quilt. Now the top is together and I am sooooo happy with my decision to make something different. My friend's baby is due in April and I still have to mail the finished product to Denmark, so I want to try and finish this up by the end of the week. I'm still trying to decide if I want a border and what kind of binding I should do.

Your wishes quilt is gorgeous! I just finished my top and I have to decide if I'm going to send it out to be quilted for me. There is a great wishes quilt a long group on Facebook--you should come check it out and show off your work. I love your color palette!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour palette of the wishes quilt too, striking but calm at the same time. Hexagons for baby quilt is fabulous, that is a difficult decision as to border or not, look forward to seeing what you decide
ReplyDeleteThe hexagon baby quilt is looking fantastic! I don't think I would add a border, and I would keep the binding very simple, perhaps the dark grey color. I like how it is hexagons but it doesn't immediately read as hexagons, not too obvious you know? Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteI like your blocks for Rainy Wishes. I've finished all of my blocks on my own sampler quilt. It's true that once you're done, the ones you didn't like very much can be placed with the others and look good.
